Toyota, the car maker, sponsoring Vimeo’s development roadmap.
Lulu Lemon Athletica, a yoga retailer, using local athletes as ambassadors for local stores.
Barkley, an ad agency, sponsoring a bike racing team.
. . . these are all attempts to become the marketing (the ad) and for the ad to simply be work, culture, health, etc. These three companies want to be part of the community.
So many opportunities to do that without manipulating the person who already loves the cars, the clothes, the team.
